We are pleased to announce the 17th Annual Nittany Valley Handbell Festival held in State College, Pennsylvania. This year's festival will take place on Saturday, April 10, 2010.
Bring your Handbell Choir out for a fun day of ringing with an entire gymnasium full of other choirs from the area. If your choir is unable to attend but you would like to participate, please contact the festival organizers directly and we may just be able to find you a spot in one of the other choirs. As always, this promises to be a great time for everyone who is involved.
This year, our conductor will be church musician, clinician, teacher, and composer -- Kath Wissinger. Our music selections will include pieces written by a variety of composers using various styles and levels of difficulty.
At the conclusion of our day long workshop, the participating handbell choirs will perform a public concert featuring the massed ringing of the pieces we learned as well as a number of individual selections performed by individual choirs. A small entrance free will be collected at the door and all who either ring in a choir themselves or who are just interested in listening to handbells are encouraged to attend.
