We are pleased to announce the 16th Annual Nittany Valley Handbell Festival held in State College, Pennsylvania. This year's festival is an officially sanctioned AGEHR event and will take place on Saturday, April 4, 2009.
Bring your Handbell Choir out for a fun day of ringing with an entire gymnasium full of other choirs from the area. If your choir is unable to attend but you would like to participate, please contact the festival organizers directly and we may just be able to find you a spot in one of the other choirs. As always, this promises to be a great time for everyone who is involved.
This year, our conductor will be the clinician, conductor, and solo/duet ringer -- Ron Bellamy. Our music selections will include pieces written by a variety of composers using various styles and levels of difficulty.
At the conclusion of our day long workshop, the participating handbell choirs will perform a public concert featuring the massed ringing of the pieces we learned as well as a number of individual selections performed by individual choirs. A small entrance free will be collected at the door and all who either ring in a choir themselves or who are just interested in listening to handbells are encouraged to attend.
